The Butte College Forensics Team took home several prizes at their first competition of the year. The team competed in back to back tournaments at San Francisco State University alongside 17 colleges from across California and surrounding states.
The Butte team’s efforts paid off by winning the tournament sweepstakes 2nd place trophy, along with 13 individual awards. The tournament sweepstakes trophy represents the points accumulated by all teammates throughout the entire tournament in the two-year college division.
The team’s next tournament will be on Friday, Oct. 4 at Chabot college in Hayward, CA.
